About the Mission:

The family of Mr. Carl F. "Chuck" Borzilleri has requested that Patriot Guard Riders stand for his service during his calling hours on Monday, October 10, 2022.

Mr. Borzilleri passed on October 07, 2022. He is a US Navy veteran who served a total of four years and seven months in the US Navy and US Navy Reserve. Mr. Borzilleri was called up from inactive reserve to active service and spent sixteen months on active duty during the Korean War era. Fifteen months were spent in sea service aboard the USS Vulcan (AR-5), th elead ship in her class of repair ships, based out of Naval Station Newport, Newport, R.I.

Mr. Borzilleri held the rank of Naval Fireman (FN, pay grade E-2). He had a specialty number of MR-4409-42, Machinery Repairman. This specialty and placement had Mr. Borzilleri fixing ships up and down the eastern seaboard working from his ship-based workshop.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

3:00pm staging at the funeral home.  3:15pm - 3:30pm PGR Members will form a flag line at the funeral home for the arrival of the family to calling hours. 4:00pm - 7:00pm PGR members will stand a respectful flag line for Mr. Borzilleri's calling hours. About 7:00pm PGR Members expect to perform a final salute at the funeral home for Mr. Borzilleri

There is no cemetery or escort involved with this mission. Please bring a clean 3x5 US flag or Navy flag. Dress for the weather, the current forecast calls for clouds and temperatures near 50 degrees.
