About the Mission:

The family of Bruce R. Marshall of the Town of Tonawanda, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Marshall passed away on 18 May 2023.

There is a tremendous amount of military service information to go through, but we know that Mr. Marshall served our nation from 1973-2010 in the US Air Force and Air National Guard. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War Era, Persian Gulf War, Global War on Terrorism, and served at the WTC days after the terrorist attack on 9/11/2001. Mr. Marshall had specialties in the fields of munition handling, civil engineering and electrical work. He had multiple deployments world-wide, including Iraq, England, France, Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Panama. Mr. Marshall was honorably retired on 28 February 2010 with the rank of Senior Master Sergeant (E-8) and he was the recipient of numerous awards, including: Meritorious Service Medal; Air Force Commendation Medal; Air Force Achievement Medal; multiple Air Force Outstanding Unit Awards; Air Force Good Conduct Medals; multiple Air Reserve Forces Meritorious Service Medals; National Defense Service Medal (3 Awards); Iraq Campaign Medal; Global War on Terror Service Medal; Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon; and many other awards.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will stand with a respectful flag line for arrival of the family and friends. The funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 AM. Following the service and dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Rd, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 for burial with Military Honors.  Click here for map to cemetery
