Memorial Mission

Tanya Stoklosa
Plaque Presentation

US Navy Veteran

Buffalo, NY - 11/11/2022

Mission applies to the following Region(s):

Region 1, Region 2

About the Mission:

On 29 November 2021, Patriot Guard Riders stood in honor of the US Navy service of Tanya Stoklosa, who passed away on 22 November 2021 at the young age of 51.
At the time there was not enough military information to do a PGR Plaque. We have chosen Veteran's Day to follow up with the presentation.

Tanya served our nation for 9-1/2 years on active duty in the US Navy from 1990-1999. She had several Gulf War foreign deployments, and achieved the rank of Petty Officer 2nd Class (E-5.) During her service, she earned the following awards: Navy Achievement Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars (3 Awards); Navy Good Conduct Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star (2 Awards); National Defense Service Medal; Southwest Asia Service Medal w/1 Bronze Service Star (2 Awards); Humanitarian Service Medal; Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Navy & Marine Overseas Service Ribbon w/1 Bronze Service Star (2 Awards); Kuwait Liberation Medal (Govt. of Kuwait); Cold War Service Medal; and US Navy Honorable Discharge Pin.

Tanya was the proud daughter of US Army Corps of Engineers WWII Veteran Eugene J. Stoklosa, for whom we stood in honor on 19 October 2018.
