About the Mission:
Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Stephen J. Mellerski of West Seneca, NY, who passed away on 27 July 2022.
Mr. Mellerski served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1953-1955. He served 18 months of foreign duty at Camp Wildflecken, Germany, assigned to Company A, 373rd Armored Infantry Battalion, 4th Armor Group, V Corps, Seventh US Army. Mr. Mellerski was honorable discharged from active duty on 4 March 1955 with the rank of Private First Class (E-3), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal, Army Occupation Medal-Germany, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM. Following Mass and the dignified transfer, PGR will provide an escort to St. Matthews Cemetery Mausoleum, French Road, West Seneca, NY for interment with Military Honors.
