About the Mission:

Mr. Robert Gilmore Frusci's son requests Patriot Guard Riders to stand in honor of his father's service.  Mr. Frusci served two active years in the US Army, 1953-1955 as a Private First Class (E-2). He then served an additional six years in the reserves, completing his service to the Army in 1961.

Mr. Frusci's MOS was 1704, Field Artillery Operations Chief. He served in Battery C, 43rd Field Artillery Battalion at Fort Carson, Colorado. Mr. Fusci earned: National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Cold War Commemorative Medal, Honorable Discharge Commemorative Medal.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line at approximately 3:15pm for the arrival of family and guests of the VFW for the flag ceremony.  PGR members will participate with the other military during the services for Mr. Fusci, which are expected to begin at 4:00 pm.  There is no escort or cemetery with this mission.

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and bring your own water as none will be supplied.

Thank you for helping to honor the service of Mr. Fusci and support his loving family.
