About the Mission:

The family of Mark R. Cifelli has requested Patriot Guard Riders to participate in honoring his life and service. Mr. Cifelli passed away on 22 January 2023 at the age of 55 following a long battle against cancer.

Mr. Cifelli served our nation for 4 years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1985-1989, with a Marine MOS of 3531-Motor Vehicle Operator. His various duty stations are TBD, but his final assignment was with the 8th Motor Transport Battalion, 2nd Force Service Support Group (FSSG), Fleet Marine Force Atlantic, Camp Lejeune, NC. Mr. Cifelli was honorably discharged from active duty on 25 November 1989 with the rank of Corporal (E-4), and he earned the following awards: Navy/Marine Achievement Medal; Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal; Marine Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge; and Meritorious Mast.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family. A prayer service is scheduled for 9:00 AM. Following the dignified transfer, PGR will escort to Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd., North Tonawanda, NY 14120 for the 10:00 AM Mass of Christian Burial. Following the Mass and dignified transfer, PGR will escort to Acacia Park Cemetery, 4215 Tonawanda Creek Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120 for burial with Military Honors.  Map to Church    Map to Cemetery 

Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
