About the Mission:

Patriot Guard Riders of NY has been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Lynn E. Delaney of Livonia, NY, who passed away on 18 December 2021.

Mr. Delaney served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army Chemical Corps from 1956-1958, with an Army MOS of 533.10-Chemical Equipment Repairman.
He was assigned to the 21st Chemical Company (Decontamination) at Fort McClellan, Alabama. Mr. Delaney was honorably discharged from active duty on 9 August 1958 with the rank of Private First Class, and he earned the Rifle Sharpshooter Qualification Badge.

Per the Dougherty Funeral Home obituary, Mr. Delaney was the epitome of a "motorcycle guy."

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Patriot Guard Riders will stand with a respectful flag line for arrival of the funeral director and the family.
The graveside service with Military Honors is scheduled to begin at 11:00 AM.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress appropriately for the hot weather.
