About the Mission:
The family of Louis J. Nagy, Jr. of Orchard Park, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Nagy, of Orchard Park, NY, passed away on 29 March 2023.
Mr. Nagy served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Marine Corps from 1958-1961, with a Marine Corps MOS of 0311-Rifleman. He had 18 months of foreign service (location TBD), and his final duty assignment was as a Military Policeman at 2nd Marine Division, Fleet Marine Force, Camp Lejeune, NC. Mr. Nagy was honorably discharged from active duty on 28 July 1961 with the rank of Lance Corporal (E-3), and he earned the Marine Corps Good Conduct Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family and friends. The Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for 10:00 am. Military Honors will be rendered following the service. There is no escort or cemetery involved in this Mission.
Please arrive with a clean 3x5 American or USMC flag, and dress for the weather. Thank you for taking time to help honor the US Marine Corps service of Louis J. Nagy, Jr. and to support his loving family.
IMPORTANT NOTE: We have four (4) funeral Missions on Saturday in Region-1. Please do your best to support at least one of them.
