About the Mission:

The family of Mr. Kevin O'Brien has asked PGR to participate in graveside services on Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022. Mr. O'Brien passed on October 14, 2022 in California at the age of 45.

Mr. O'Brien served in the US Navy for three years and eleven months (3 yrs., 11 mth.) joining in 2001 and serving into 2005. He was honorably discharged from active service 19 July, 2005 and completed his reserve obligation 13 June, 2009.

Mr. O'Brien's rating was AE3 (pay grade E-4), Aviation Electrician's Mate, Petty Officer Third Class. In his time in the Navy, Mr. O'Brien had fifty-two (52) weeks of training in repairing and maintaining Naval helicopter electronics.

Mr. O'Brien was a member of US Navy - Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 4 (HELSUPPRON 4), known as HC-4 'Black Stallions'. He served two years, nine months foreign service at Naval Air Station Sigonella, Sicily.

Mr. O'Brien earned: Navy Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terror Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Overseas Service Ribbon, and NATO Medal with Kosovo and Former Yugoslavia Bars.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line at the gravesite for the arrival of the funeral home at about 8:30am.
The family will meet at the cemetery and is expected between 8:30am and 8:45am.
We will perform a dignified transfer and then render honors during the graveside services.
Services are expected to begin at 9:00am.

Please come prepared with a clean 3'x5' US or US Navy flag.
Weather is expected to be cold (high 20s - low 30s) with a small chance of precipitation.
