About the Mission:

The family of Mr. James C. Burns has asked PGR to participate in services honoring his life and service to America.  Mr. Burns passed away on December 08, 2022, at the age of 75.

Mr. Burns was a Specialist Four (SP4, E-4) with a MOS of 61B30, Boatswain. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in-country for twelve (12) months at Qui Nhon, Vietnam. Specialist Four Burns earned: National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross w/ palm, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, Cold War Service Medal, Expert Qualification Badge, M-14

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

10:15 am PGR Members will form a flag line at the gravesite for the arrival of Mr. Burns and his family.  We will perform a dignified transfer in preparation for services.  PGR will render honors with the military honor guard during services.  Following services, we will perform a final salute as a group.  Please come prepared with a clean US or Army flag. Bring your own water and dress for low thirty-degree temperatures.

Thank you for taking the time to honor the service of Mr. Burns and to support his grieving family.
