About the Mission:
The family of Henry Meinzer has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Meinzer of Batavia, NY passed away on 31 October 2022.
Mr. Meinzer served our nation for 2 years on active duty in the US Army from 1951-1953. He had 16 months of foreign service, assigned to the 13th Ordnance Artillery and Vehicle Parking Company in Korea. Mr. Meinzer was honorably discharged from active duty on 12 August 1953 with the rank of Corporal, and he earned the following awards for his service: Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon; National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal w/2 Bronze Service Stars; United Nations Service Medal (Korea); Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon; 2 Overseas Service Bars; Korean War Service Medal; and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
PGR will stage at the funeral home with a respectful flag for the arrival of the family. KSU at 10:30 AM for the escort to WNY National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 for the 11:00 AM interment ceremony with Military Honors. Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, dress for the weather, and ensure your large flags are securely attached.
