About the Mission:

The family of David Merle Rose of Angelica, NY has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and service. Mr. Rose passed away 14 August 2020.
He donated his body to the University of Rochester Medical School, and his cremains are now ready to be laid to rest with his wife.

Mr. Rose served our nation for 3 years on active duty in the US Army from 1952-1955, with an Army MOS of Infantry Communications Specialist. He had 16 months of foreign duty in Korea, assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division. Mr. Rose also served with the 82nd Engineer Battalion at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri, where he was honorably discharged from active duty on 27 July 1955 with the rank of Specialist 3 (E-4.) he earned the following awards: National Defense Service Medal; Korean Service Medal w/1 Bronze Campaign Star; United Nations Service Medal (Korea); Republic of Korea Presidential Unit Citation Ribbon; Korean War Service Medal; and Cold War Service Medal.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for the arrival of the family.  The graveside service with Military Honors is scheduled for 11:00 AM.  Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American or US Army flag, and dress for the weather.
