Region 1, Region 2

About the Mission:

The family of Anthony J. Wiles has gratefully requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in bringing their loved one to his final resting place. Mr. Wiles of Buffalo, NY passed away on 9 January 2023.

Military information is incomplete at this time, but we know that Mr. Wiles served for almost 4 years on active duty in the US Navy from 1952-1956, including 22 months of foreign/sea service (location TBD.) One of his duty assignments was at Naval Auxiliary Air Station (NAAS) at Foley, Alabama. Mr. Wiles was honorably discharged from active duty on 26 April 1956 with the rank of Seaman (E-3), and at a minimum he earned the National Defense Service Medal. Other possible awards are pending research.

The family is holding calling hours on Friday 13 January, but they are unable to attend the interment and Military Honors on Tuesday. PGR will be there to represent the family.
