About the Mission:

Mr. Alex J. Cunningham's family has asked PGR to participate in honoring his service and celebrating his life at his funeral services. Mr. Cunningham passed away 07 March 2023 at the age of 88.

Mr. Cunningham is a US Navy Cold War veteran who achieved the rank of Seaman (E-3). He served aboard the USS Canberra (CAG-2), a Boston Class Guided Missile Cruiser, based at Naval Station Norfolk, Norfolk, VA, which operated throughout the Caribbean.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

PGR Members will form a flag line at the funeral home for the arrival of the family, expected at approximately 1:30pm. We will continue the flag line through calling hours, from 2:00pm until 4:00pm.  Funeral services with military honors are expected to begin at 4pm. PGR will participate in the military honors portion of the services.  Following the military honors, the PGR mission is complete.  Interment is taking place at a later date in Pennsylvania.

Please come prepared with a US or Navy Flag. Bring your own water and dress for the weather. The current forecast is for temperatures in the mid-30s and a chance of precipitation.
