The event will start at Greece American Legion Post 468, 344 Dorsey Road, Rochester, NY 14616 with a motorcycle/vehicle escorted ride to McQuaid Jesuit High School, where a dedication memorial will be placed honoring BM1 Michael J Pernaselli.  Michael was killed when an unidentified Dhow exploded as the Team was conducting Maritime Interception Operations (MIO) in the Northern Arabian Sea.  Michael was a member of the Visit Board, Search and Seizure (VBSS) Team aboard the USS FIREBOLT (PC 10).  Michael grew up in Brighton, N.Y. and joined the military after high school. He had previously toured the Persian Gulf and Kosovo and, in January, was sent back to the Gulf to serve on the USS Firebolt. He once excelled at splatball and was a devoted pro wrestling fan. Michael, who was divorced, had custody of his daughters, ages 3 and 4, who are living with their grandparents John & Cathy Pernaselli.

After the ceremony the escorted ride will make its way back to the Greece Post grounds for the remainder of the event.  The event includes picnic style fare starting at 2:00pm, with music by Buddies and Pals, and raffles.  Tickets include the optional ride, meal and event at $20 each.  Ride registration starts at 10am.

Proceeds from the event will benefit PGRNY HOTH (Help on the Homefront), and New York Warrior Alliance hosted by the Patriot Guard Riders of New York. The two organizations are 100% volunteer and 100% of donations they received are used to assist our wounded veterans, their caregivers, families of the fallen and basically those in crisis that have suffered service connected disabilities.  This assistance is provided to fill their otherwise unmet needs.
