About the Mission:
We have been requested by the family of Albert Peterson to participate in his military honors funeral services.
Following graduation from Edison High School in Mt. Vernon, NY, Albert enlisted with the United States Army. He served during the Korean War and was awarded the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal for his bravery in action. He was honorably discharged in 1954. After his service he went on to obtain an associate’s and bachelor’s degree from Empire State College. Following college he worked as an X-Ray technician at Westchester County Medical Hospital in Valhalla, NY, until his retirement in 1996. He was an avid reader and was known for his deep love of music

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.
Special Information:
Please stage quietly and form a flag line. Calling hours are 10:00-11:00 followed by a memorial service. After the service, prepare for a dignified transfer and then an escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 1:00pm service.
