About the Mission:

The family of Leland Wayne "Lee" Foster has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services.  Mr. Foster, 77, of Candor, NY passed away Saturday, November 18, 2023.

Lee was a US Army Vietnam Veteran that served in the Vietnam War from 1967 until 1969, receiving the Purple Heart for injuries incurred during battle.  He was a life member of the` American Legion Post #907, VFW Post #1371, the Military Order of the Purple Heart, and the DAV.

Lee retired from Cornell University and enjoyed his gardening.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.

Special Information:

Military honors will be conducted at the funeral home at 10am followed by formal services, then a procession to Maple Grove Cemetery in Candor for interment.  Please dress accordingly.
