About the Mission:

The family of John R. Hahn has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and his 21 years of service to our Nation. Mr Hahn was born in Buffalo NY in 1944. John passed on 3/22/24. Mr. Hahn served our nation in the US Army for 21 years with an MOS 76Y30, Unit Supply Specialist. Mr. Hahn served two tours in Vietnam and earned the following awards and ribbons; Purple Heart, US Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal (6 awards), National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Army Overseas Ribbon, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal w/60 device, Army Overseas Service Bars w/Numeral 3, Combat Innfantry Badge and Expert Badge (Rifle - M16).

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Updated 8 March 2022

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Members will stage at the funeral home at 9 am with a flag line for arrival of family and friends. Following services, there is an escort to Western New York National Cemetery, 1254 Indian Falls Road, Corfu, NY 14036 with interment with military honors scheduled for 11:00 am. Make sure your flags are securely attached. Those who want can meet the escort at the cemetery.
