About the Mission:

The family of Vietnam War Era and Cold War veteran Wayne J.C. Senn has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in honoring his life and military career. Mr. Senn of Lancaster, NY passed away on 21 February 2024.

Mr. Senn served our nation for a total of 15 years of military duty. He served almost 2 years of active duty in the US Army Corps of Engineers from 1961-1963, with an Army MOS of 351.28-Power Generator Specialist. He received his honorable discharge on 1 September 1963 with the rank of Private First Class (E-3), and he earned the Army Good Conduct Medal and Rifle Expert Badge.

Mr. Senn then served in the US Air Force Active Reserves from 1965-1976, with Air Force Specialties of 7024-Executive Support Officer and 7041-Administration Officer. He received his promotion to the rank of Captain (O-3) in 1969, and he had 2 years, 9 months of foreign service in England, assigned to the Royal Air Force (RAF) Bentwaters (Air Force Strategic Command.) Captain Senn received his honorable retirement on 18 October 1976, and he earned the following awards for his US Air Force service: Meritorious Service Medal; Air Force Outstanding Unit Award; Air Force Good Conduct Medal; National Defense Service Medal; Air Force Longevity Service Award w/2 Oak Leaf Clusters; and Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: Protect Yourself and Your Family from COVID-19, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

PGR will provide a respectful flag line for arrival of the family, and during the calling hours from 4:00-6:30 PM. The funeral service and military honors are scheduled for 6:30 PM. There is no cemetery or escort involved in this Mission.

Please be prepared with a clean 3x5 American, US Army or US Air Force flag, and dress for the weather. Thank you for devoting your time to help honor the US Army and US Air Force service of Wayne J.C. Senn, and to support his loving family.
