About the Mission:

The family of WWII Marine Veteran Aloisius W. Turkasz has requested Patriot Guard Riders participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Turkasz passed 23 September 2024 at the age of 98 with his  family at his side.

Born in Buffalo, NY on 18 February 1925, Mr. Turkasz entered the Marine Corps in 1944 at the age of 18. He served our nation honorably, participating in action against the enemy on Roi-Namur, Saipan, Tinian and Iwo Jima islands as a Field Artillery Gunner. Mr. Turkasz was discharged 23 November 1945 as Corporal.

Members will stand a flag line for dignified transfer and arriving family members. Members will escort Mr. Turkasz and family to Infant of Prague Church, 921 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga N.Y. 14225 for Mass of Christian Burial .Do what you can to honor one of America's greatest generation.
