About the Mission:

Gerard E. Ehler faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation as a Tank Crewman (1811) in the 2d Tank Battalion, 2d Marine Division, US Marine Corps from 31 May 1951 until his honorable discharge at the rank of PFC on 30 May 1954.

For his service, he was awarded the Korean Service Medal w/2 stars, the United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

  • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Please stage in parking area of Comfort Station along the blue line at Calverton.
No escort, no funeral home involved. Family bringing cremains directly to cemetery for final honors.
