About the Mission:

We have been requested by the family of Cornelius Rogers to participate in his military honors funeral services.  Cornelius "Sonny" Rogers Jr passed away on February 18th, 2023 in Colorado while traveling with his wife.

Sonny proudly served his country in the United States Air Force from 1969-1975 when he was honorably discharged. He cherished the stories and experiences he had while serving. He served 3 years and 8 months on active duty, enlisting on 9 June 1969. Released on 2 March 1973, and honorably discharged on 8 June 1975.  He served as an Aircraft Mechanic (AFSC 43151C) and spent 4 months overseas. He received the USAF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Vietnam Service Medal.

He recently traveled to some of the bases where he served. He was an active member in the American Legion in Hudson, NY, and the VFW in Ghent.
