|About the Mission:||The Patriot Guard Riders have been requested to stand in honor of the life and service of Edward J. Wiese, Jr. of Bowmansville, NY, who passed away on 24 December 2020.
Mr. Wiese served 2 years on active duty in the U.S. Army Infantry from 1944-1946, with a MOS of 345-Truck Driver Light. He served 18 months in the European Theater of Operations with the 94th Infantry Division and participated in the Central Europe and Rhineland Campaigns. Mr. Wiese was honorably discharged on 26 July 1946 with the rank of Private, and he earned the following awards: Army Combat Infantryman Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal, American Campaign Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal w/2 Bronze Campaign Stars, Army of Occupation Medal, and WW-II Victory Medal.
