Original Post Starts here……

Welcome Home; Saturday Mar. 19, 1300 hrs, Capt Patrick Dowdell, Infantry from Afghanistan, Rockaway, NY

We have been invited to escort Capt Patrick Dowdell, Infantry, one of the brave soldiers who have just returned from his third Tour in Iraq and Afghanistan. We have been invited by his brother James Dowdell of the FDNY. Many of you have met James when he has come out to a few welcome homes with us and has brought members of the FDNY Pipe and Drum Corps. You might also have met him at the “Tour of Duty Mission” where he, other FDNY and Australian Fire Fighters ran across the country and arrived in NYC just after midnight last year in Memory of those who were lost on Sept 11th. We helped escort them through Manhattan all through the night.
This is a special event. Not just as every welcome home is special but because of the sacrifice of this family. James’s Dad Lieutenant Kevin Christopher Dowdell of Rescue 4, was one of the 343 Brave FDNY Fire fighters that heard the call on Sept 11th and gave the Supreme Sacrifice. His son James is there every day standing between us and danger just as his Patrick is standing between us and a different type of danger on the other side of the world.
Final Posting will be Friday Night with Actual Stage Times and Places but Basic is Hicksville about 1130 (subject to exact address)

Below is the invitation form his Brother James.

“Hey Jim.  Just a quick run down of this Saturday march 19   We Have rented out a bar called the Bungalow bar in rock away beach queens, 377 Beach 92 st..  It is a surprise party for my brother who just got home from his 2 deployment.  Our friends and family will be getting to the bar at 12:45 and I am hoping to arrive at 1:15.  We will be leaving from my mother’s house in Breezy Point queens. There is a parking lot at the end of the block for all to assemble at called parking lot 4 (216th St and Rockaway Blvd).  I was thinking we could leave around 1 from the lot.  Please let all the riders know that we have food and drinks for all the riders who would like to stay.  My family and I greatly appreciate all that you and your group do for the military and the country.”

Please let me know if this is possible

Thank you for the time you give to those who stood for us.
