About the Mission: The family has requested the Patriot Guard to stand for this hero veteran of the Korean War. He is a Native American who fought with the 2nd infantry division whose patch carried an Native American with headdress insignia. He was awarded a purple heart having been wounded by machine gun fire while storming a hill. Upon returning, his life led him to recording country music for RCA, doing voice-overs for politicians and presidents. He was an advisor to Boy Scouts and built a Medicine Wheel at Northport VA hospital where he led a ceremony each year for other Native American veterans. He was one of four of the quickest quick draw artists in the country and was a strong supporter of the Paumanauke Pow Wow.
