ABOUT THE MISSION:

An honor mission has been requested for United States Marine Corps, Vietnam Veteran Richard Mills. This Marine Veteran served three tours in Vietnam as a helicopter pilot and was awarded a Purple Heart, in addition to other combat ribbons.

Funeral mass on Friday 5 May 2017 - 1000hrs at Infant Jesus RC Church 110 Myrtle Avenue Port Jefferson NY.

Departure from FH scheduled for 0930. Members please arrive by 0915 at the latest.

Heavy rain is predicted so motorcycle escort will not be required for safety reasons. Dress appropriately for inclement weather.

Following mass, plans call for passing by the Veteran's home before heading to the cemetery. Members should report directly to the cemetery following the mass rather than joining the procession.

Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery on Liberty Avenue Port Jefferson NY (off Old Post Road).
Members should assemble at the cemetery by 1115.
