About the Mission: The Patriot Guard Riders have been invited to stand in honor of the life and service of Michael E. Curley.  Mr. Curley served his country honorably in Vietnam with the 82nd Airborne division attaining a rank of SP5. He was a NY City Fire Department member for 30 years. An avid reader who learned how to read chemical journals meant for scientists. He also built the first computer for his firehouse and built the computers for his children.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Please plan on Meeting Ride Captains Gene & Sue at front gate for the arrival of this hero from Heppner McLaughlin funeral home of Riverhead. There is no flag line or escort at the funeral home at this time. Watch for any update that may happen for this mission.
