About the Mission: The family of Mario M. Skinder has asked the Patriot Guard Riders to stand and honor his service. He served from February 1956 to September 1959 with the 48th Fighter Tactical Wing, as an Origin Supply Specialist attaining the rank of A/2c. He then served in reserves until February 1962 when he received an honorable discharge for his faithful service.

IMPORTANT

The Mandatory Rules for Covid-19 protection practices...these WILL be strictly enforced.

  • Stay a minimum of 6 feet apart from each other at all times.
  • No handshaking, fist-bumping, hugs, cheek kissing or any other physical contact.
  • Follow all Covid-19 protection practices as described on the CDC website.

  • If you are not feeling well in any way, please do not attend this Mission.
  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information:

Please stage for the arrival of the family at 1:30 pm. Bring your flags, we will stand for approximately an hour.

After a dignified transfer there will be an escort to Our Lady of Lourdes RC Church, 455 Hunter Ave. , West Islip, NY 11795 for a 9:30 am Mass. After The Mass, there will be an escort to Calverton National Cemetery.
