About the Mission: Infantry Rifleman PFC Joseph J. Guagenti faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation in the US Army during World War II.  A member of Company A, 550th Infantry Battalion, 17th Airborne Glider Division, he fought in the Rhineland.

For his service, he was awarded the Europe-Africa-Middle East Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, A Combat Infantry Badge, the Purple Heart, and the World War II Victory Medal.

It is time for Patriot Guard Riders to stand for this member of the Greatest Generation who has stood for us.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: This is an escort only Mission.  We will escort our Honoree from funeral home to his home a short distance away, where we will 'pick up' his family.

The escort will then continue on to St John Cemetery, where we will stop at the entrance, allowing the procession to go by us as we present arms.
