About the Mission: SSgt Joseph F. Rufa faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our Nation during World War II as a Clerk Non-Typist (055).

He enlisted on 21 January 1944 and served until his honorable discharge on 2 February 1946.
He served in the Po Valley and North Apennines in Italy, and Central Europe. For his service, he was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Medal, World War II Victory Medal, AAF Air Crew Member Badge (wings.) He also earned an Air Medal with the Fifteenth Expeditionary Mobility Task Force (15 ETF).

His family has requested PGR participation in his final honors; as we are likely to be the only honors he will receive, try to attend if you can.

Most of family will be waiting at Calverton National Cemetery for procession to arrive.
