About the Mission: The family of John F. Donovan has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services.

Mr. Donovan faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation from the time of his induction on 15 November 1951 until his honorable discharge at the rank of Private First Class on 4 November 1953.
His MOS 0411 - Maintenance Management Specialist.  He was awarded a Purple Heart Medal for wounds suffered in combat against the enemy on 3 February 1953. He also received the Korean Service Medal w/ 2 Stars, United Nations Service Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Escort to church in Valley Stream to KSU approx 08:45-09:00hrs.

Fairchild and Sons Funeral Home is only a staging area.
Funeral Director is from Lynn Funeral Services.

Although Mr. Donovan is scheduled at 11:30AM at Calverton, mass at church does not begin until 9:45 AM. Services will end about 10:45AM, possibly earlier, and at least one hour to travel from Valley Stream to Calverton puts the procession in at 11:30AM at the earliest.
