About the Mission: Coxswain John Della Speranza faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation during World War II, enlisting on 1 November 1944 and honorably discharged on 24 May 1946. For his service, he was awarded the American Theater Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal w/ 1 Star, and the World War II Victory Medal.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Stage at the funeral home to stand a flag line for the family's arrival at 8:30 AM.
A viewing will take place until 10:45 AM.
Those participating in escort need not show up until 10:30 AM to prepare for a dignified transfer and escort to church, approximately at 10:45 AM.
