|About the Mission:||Technician Fifth Grade John A. Cortese faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation in Battery C, 967th Field Artillery Battalion during World War II. He served in the following locations: Ardennes, Central Europe, Normandy, Northern France, and Rhineland.
For his service, he was awarded the American Service Medal, European African Middle East Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and the World War II Victory Medal. He was also a Marksman on the M1 Carbine. He was Honorably discharged on 8 December 1945.
