John Seewald
US Army WWII Veteran
Southold, NY - 05/14/2020
Mission applies to the following Region(s): Region 8, Region 9
About the Mission: The family of Sgt John Seewald has requested we stand for their dad, a member of Our Greatest Generation and a proud Patriot. John served in Korea during WW2 and was there when the Japanese surrendered. He received the Good Conduct Medal, the Army of Occupation Medal and the Asiatic Pacific Campaign Medal. James was a tool and die maker after returning home and was married for 64 years before his wife passed away 8 years ago. He had 6 children, 14 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. His son told me John had one final request and that was an escort to the cemetery. It will be our honor to grant his request.
