Mission applies to the following Region(s): Region 8, Region 9
About the Mission:

We have been asked by the family of World War II Veteran Daniel J. Dresch Sr to stand and honor this proud member of Americas Greatest Generation. For his service Daniel received the American Theater Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal and the Victory Medal. Born in Brooklyn in 1925 and raised in the waters surrounding his beloved Broad Channel. In the spring of 1942 Dan’s mother signed a waiver allowing him to leave high school before graduation to enlist in the Navy at 17. From 1942 to 1946 he served as a 2nd Class Salvage Diver where he dove on the USS Arizona in Pearl Harbor and as a 1st Class Gunner’s Mate on an LCI in the Pacific. After leaving the Navy, he served in the Army Reserves until 1966; retiring as a Major. Please join us as we stand and honor his service. Thank you.
