About the Mission:

This member of the greatest generation served as a rifleman in the 357th Infantry Regiment, 90th Division and was on the front lines for 7 months. He fought in the Battle of Saint Lo, Battle of the Bulge, Invasion of Normandy, and Battle of Falaise Gap. He was awarded the European African Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with 1 Silver Star, Bronze Star Medal, Purple Heart, WWII Victory Medal, French Medal of Honor, and Good Conduct Medal. He attained a rank of SSgt before his separation from service. The Patriot Guard has been asked to honor this hero of our nation.

  • * ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade facemask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Family viewing is from 2-3 pm. Friends and co-workers from 3-6. We will not stand the entire time due to heat of the day. Bring your flags to stand mainly for the family time. Bring water with you also to stay hydrated and remember our safety rules. The burial will be on Tuesday 7/7 but not all details are finished due to church rules, so watch for a mission update for Tuesday part of this mission.

Second Stage - Special Information:  The family will be arriving at the funeral home at 10:00 am.  The escort will proceed thru Hampton Bays and end at Good Ground Cemetery, 38 Cemetery Road, Hampton Bays for an 11:00 am service and burial.
