ABOUT THE MISSION:
Patriot Guard Riders and Associates:
I am sorry to say that we have lost another American Hero and Patriot Guard Rider NY, Ride Captain. We all know him as Bob Kepler but he is Robert Joseph Kepler.
The family of Mr. Robert Joseph Kepler has requested the presence of Patriot Guard Riders at his Funeral Mass. Robert, 69, passed away on April 21, 2017 at home surrounded by family members.
Robert served in the United States Army 82nd Airborne 1968-1970. His last rank before being honorably discharged was Spec 4. For his service, "Bob" was awarded: National Defense Service Medal, 1 0/3 Bar, Combat Infantryman Badge (1st Award) Air Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm, Expert (Rifle M-14 sharpshooter (Rifle M-16) Vietnam Service Medal w/2 Bronze Stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal.
Bob was a member of Patriot Guard Riders since 2005. A long time member of PGRNY R7 and served as Ride Captain. He was a volunteer for The Hudson Valley Crusaders Wheel Chair Bowling Team. Escorted Wreaths Across America many times. Mr. Robert Joseph "Bob" Kepler would always go out of his way to help others especially veterans. Former officer of White Plains Harley Riders and avid biker'
Medical reasons caused him to not be able to ride a motorcycle any more. Bob bought a Dodge Challeger and enjoyed it to the end.
I will truly miss my friend. Rest In Heaven Bob.
