ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Mr. John J. Chesko, United States Marine Corps, Vietnam veteran has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. Chesko passed on May 17, 2017 at home. He was 67.

John served his country in the military when it was not a popular time to do so. He joined the United States Marine Corps on 26 June 1968, and completed one tour of duty in Vietnam. He was Honorably discharged at the rank of Corporal (E-4). For his faithful service, he was awarded the Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal w/1 Bronze Star, the Vietnam Campaign Medal w/device and the Republic of Vietnam Cross of Gallantry w/Palm.

John loved life and had many friends. He retired from the Orange County Highway Department. and enjoyed fishing with his best friends. He was loved by so many and had a big heart.

The Patriot Guard Riders are privileged to be able to stand for, and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. John James Chesko, proud United States Marine.
