ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of SGT Roshain Euvince Brooks has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Killed In combat on 13 August while engaging the enemy, SGT Brooks, 30, a Paratrooper, was part of a cannon crew assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 319th Airborne Field Artillery Regiment. SGT Allen L Sticker, 22, of Arlington Texas also lost his life when an artillery shell from a towed M777 howitzer, a 155 mm artillery piece exploded prematurely. Five others were wounded in the blast.
Sergeant Brooks has been posthumously awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal and Combat Badge.
This is a three part mission:
24 Aug 17: PGR Flag Line at church for arrival and dignified transfer of Sgt. Brooks.
25 Aug 17: PGR Flag Line at Church for the arrival and dignified transfer of Sgt. Brooks, followed by escort to cemetery.

At approximately 10:30AM, we will then provide an escort for Sergeant Brooks to his final resting place among fellow American Heroes in Calverton National Cemetery.

This is likely to be a mile-long procession, mostly at or near highway speeds. Please be sure your flags are securely attached, and ensure that you have ample fuel for this 70 mile escort.

At approximately 10:30AM, we will then provide an escort for Sergeant Brooks to his final resting place among fellow American Heroes in Calverton National Cemetery.
