About the Mission:

The family of Rudolph R. Brunetti has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services.  Rudolph, 94, passed on Saturday, April 24, 2021.

Born in Port Chester, NY, Rudy grew up in the Washington Park Section of Port Chester.  After graduating early at age 17 from Port Chester High School, he enlisted in the US Navy on 30 October 1944 where he faithfully and honorably executed his duties to our nation during World War II. He was honorably discharged as Seaman First Class on 3 July 1946.

He was notably assigned to the USS The Sullivans (DD-537), a US Navy Fletcher-class destroyer.  For his service, he was awarde the American Theatre Medal, the Asiatic Pacific Medal w/1 Star, and the World War II Victory Medal.

  • ** ADDITIONAL MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: Wearing a protective face covering of some kind is required...homemade face-mask, bandanna, etc. (Patriotic face coverings would be particularly appropriate) This will not only provide an extra layer of protection to ourselves and others, but will send the message that the PGR takes this crisis seriously and is performing this Mission responsibly.
Special Information: Please stage at funeral home for dignified transfer and escort to St. Gregory the Great R.C. Church.
KSU approximately 9:30AM.

NOTE:  Anyone wishing to ride up together from Long Island or Queens can meet at Bayside Marina at 8:15AM. KSU 8:30AM.   Bayside Marina is about 1-1/2 miles north of Northern Blvd on Criss Island Parkway.
