ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of SSgt. George L. Weideman, United States Air Force, Korean War Era veteran, has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral service.

Staff Sargent Weideman served in Japan as a Munitions Specialist supporting the war effort in Korea and involved with bomb disposal. Earning the Korean Service Medal, the UN Service Medal, and a Good Conduct Medal. He was posted in England during part of his enlistment.

Special Instructions:

Staging in funeral home parking lot. There will not be a flag line nor dignified transfer at the funeral. Patriot Guard Riders will lead the procession through the village of Schoharie. The current plans call for the family joining the procession as it passes the family home. The procession will then proceed to the Old Stone Fort Cemetery, 145 Fort Rd., Schoharie for an 11:00 am graveside service. Please watch your e-mails for possible changes.
