****** UPDATED  4/16/11 **********

This is a reminder about the upcoming Leatherstocking Honor Flight on April 30th.  In the past there have been a total of three components to this mission - The Schoharie escort (detailed here) - another coming out of Catskill and another out of the Amsterdam area.  I have not received any info about Catskill or Amsterdam at this point - keep checking your e-mail for any further updates for the Leatherstocking escorts.

The good folks down in Schoharie are conducting their first flight of the year, Saturday, April 30th. The Leatherstocking Honor Flight - will take WWII veterans, down in that area, to the Albany Airport for their honor flight down to Washington, D.C. to view the WWII Monument - buses of veterans will be making the trip.  The LHF committee has requested the Patriot Guard Riders to participate in an honor escort of these veterans on Saturday,
April 30th.

Where: For those escorting down in Schoharie, motorcyclists should assemble no later than 7:30am at the Schoharie Park & Ride for KSU at 7:45am.

For those wishing to pick up the escort at the Duanesburg Parking lot - East of the intersection of I-88 and Rt-20 - you should assemble there no later than 7:45am and be prepared to pick up the escort coming your way at approx 8:00am -The Guilderland police will pick up the escort at this location as well and will provide a straight thru escort to the Airport along with the Town of Colonie police.   There may or may not be a Ride Captain there - but you experienced guys know the drill.

Anybody coming up from Schoharie with a CB on their bike - turn it to channel 18 and when you approach the Duanesburg exit give a call out at that time to let the Park and Ride contingent know your coming.

For those PGR members who wish to participate in this honor escort - feel free to bring your flags and form a flag line around the podium in the baggage area for a brief send-off ceremony.

Let's hope we have good weather and a good turnout to honor these heroes of the  "Greatest Generation".

Let me know if you have any questions.
