Veterans Recovery Program - 3rd Interment Services - Saratoga National Cemetery - Friday, June 10th - All Regions

The mission of the Patriot Guard Riders / Veterans Recovery Program is to locate, identify and inter the unclaimed cremated remains of veterans in the State of New York through the joint efforts of private, state, and federal organizations: to provide honor and respect to those who have served this county by securing a final resting place for these forgotten heroes.

An interment ceremony, our third in Saratoga National Cemetery, with full military honors, will be conducted on Friday, June 10th at 10:30am. - to provide these long forgotten veterans their richly deserved Honor, Dignity and Respect.

Eleven (11) Veterans (1 spouse) will be interred:

Three US Army  -  Three US Marine Corps  - Three US Air Force  -  Two US Navy veterans.

Honor Guards from each of these branches will be present to interr out veterans.

Multiple Staging Places and Times

Lake George area and North - Those Attending Americade.

Friday, June 10th.  Stage at Lake George American Legion Post 374.  -  3932 State Rt-9L, Lake George, NY.
KSU at 8:15am for State Police Escort to Flynn Brothers Funeral Home in Schuylerville.

South of Lake George

Flynn Bros Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave,. Ext. Schuylerville, NY

Stage on Gates Ave Ext for KSU at 10:00am.  The unclaimed cremated remains of our veterans will be escorted from this location.

Saratoga National Cemetery

200 Duell Rd, Schuylerville, NY
Escort to arrive at approx 10:15am.
Ceremonies to begin at approx 10:30am.
PGR to establish and maintain flag line throughout the ceremonies at the cemetery.

Mission Narrative:

The PGR / Veterans Recovery Program has 11 veterans and one spouse scheduled for interment.  The ceremonies this year will be conducted at the far end of the cemetery in the new columbarium wall section.  Our veterans will be the first veterans interred in this new section.

This event in the previous years has been conducted with great dignity, honor, respect and solemnity.  This is always a memorable day and has always made an impact on those who have attended.

American Legion Post 278, 6 Clancy St, Schuylerville, NY will be hosting a luncheon immediately following the ceremonies.
