Special Memorial Mission
Town of Hoosick Tribute Flag Program Hoosick Falls, New York - 12 Aug 2017
ABOUT THE MISSION:
On August 12, the Voice of a Vet program of Hoosick Falls, NY will hold its annual ceremony to recognize and honor the 102 Town of Hoosick servicemen who died while in service to our country. The Patriot Guard Riders have not only been invited to participate but will be one of the honorees that day.
From the event invitation:
"The event begins at 10:00 A.M. at Hoosick Falls Community Alliance Church. From there we will proceed to St. Mary’s Cemetery for the flag raising ceremony honoring two veterans buried there (bus available from church at 9:45), then back to HFCAC about 11 A.M. for a recap of the Tribute Flag Program and recognitions. About 12 Noon we will walk cross lots to Maple Grove Cemetery for the dedication and recognition of the town's Adopt A Grave program. There will be pomp and circumstance with the Patriot Guard Riders, music and song by Hoosick Falls Community Band and Shari Hand, and more. Light refreshments will be served at the church when all is said and done. We are so grateful for all of those who have served our country, and have been blessed as we have seen community members, family, and friends rise up to honor our fallen heroes in a tangible way.
Let's have a great turnout for a program we have been intimately involved in for over three years now. There's more to come in the Spring (teaser).
