The NWA – Northeast Woodworkers Association - has yet again extended an invitation to the Patriot Guard Riders / Veterans Recovery Program to set up a booth at their show – free of charge. The booth will highlight the activities of the PGR and the Veterans Recovery Program. This show is the largest of its kind to be held anywhere in the Northeast. Over 4,000 to 6,000 attendees are anticipated. See NARRATIVE below.
We hope to have a two-booth set-up showcasing Larry Gonyea's Tribute Trike.
Saratoga Springs City Center
Saratoga Springs, NY
Saturday, April 1st 10:00am to 5:00pm
Sunday, April 2nd, 10:00am to 5:00pm
Ladies and gentlemen of the PGR – I need volunteers to staff the booth during these hours. All material will be at the booth and set up – banners, passouts, brochures, displays etc – I just need you to be there and proudly represent the Patriot Guard Riders and our VRP efforts.
PGR Both will have to be manned both days from 9:00am to 5:00pm – I’ll need volunteers. 4 hour shifts recommended.
PLUS: The NWA has also requested PGR members to volunteer to assist them in the smooth functioning of the show – light duty actually but volunteer intensive. We have helped them before and the HWA has been greatly appreciative of our help.

Please contact me,ASAP- via your e-mail, and let me know your availability for either of these two days and what hours you might be willing to work - for the booth and door watch duty. I will then notify the NWA of who and when - will be attending. Many hands make light work. I hope for a good response.
Volunteers will be allowed in the Show -FREE OF CHARGE- for the two day weekend. You’ll be seeing some of the most amazing woodworking and products anywhere. The Officer and Directors of the NWA are extremely appreciative of the work we do for them.
Officers of the NWA became aware of the PGR/VRP after the 2011 interment services at Saratoga National Cemetery. They were very impressed by what we were doing for our unclaimed cremated veterans – and they wanted to offer their services in support of the Veterans Recovery Program.
Local lumber yards - Curtis Lumber, Downes and Reader Lumber, and Leonard Lumber have donated to the Northeast Woodworkers Assoc. over 3000 board ft. of lumber that will be used by the craftsmen at the NWA to make URNS to be used for our veterans. The NWA has produced round (turned) urns and square shaped (flat boarder) urns. Last year alone, between Bath National Cemetery and Saratoga National Cemetery the PGR/VRP used over 90 urns. They have already produced another 100 urns for donation to the PGR / VRP.
Additionally – the NWA is also in the process of producing terrific looking flag cases that will be used for flag presentations.

These are a great group of people and the support we’ve received from them is unbelievable – I want the PGR/VRP to be able to support them as well. I’m looking forward to this event. Great exposure for the Patriot Guard Riders and the Veterans Recovery Program. Hey! It’s a great event and a good time.
Paying it forward - Thanks everyone,
