About the Mission: The family of Nicholas S. Grinaldo, Jr. has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Nicholas, 74 passed away peacefully at home on November 19th, 2021.

Born on December 16th, 1946, Nicholas served in the United States Marine Corps from 1964 to 1968. During this time, he was deployed twice to Vietnam. He was honorably discharged at the rank of Private First Class, and for his service, was awarded the Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with two Campaign Stars and the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device.

Nicholas retired from the Freihofer Corporation. He was a long-standing member of motorcycle clubs with his Harley-Davidson, and was a member of the American Legion Post 1489 in Wynantskill.

Special Covid-19 Mission Guidelines:

  • While in any outdoor setting, fully vaccinated PGR members will no longer be required to wear masks but are asked to act responsibly and respect your fellow members decision on this issue. For the protection of others, non-vaccinated members are asked to please wear a mask.
  • For the immediate future, all PGR members will continue to wear masks and social distance while indoors during a mission.
  • Masks will be worn at any other location where organizers, requestors or the Lead Ride Captain has determined that this be done.
  • Going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please respect the LRC’s decision on these matters.

Special Information: Staging at the church with a flag line for the arrival of the funeral cortege. Services scheduled for 09:30 am. Upon conclusion, members will escort to St. Mary's Cemetery, 79 Brunswick Road, Troy, NY 12180 for interment services with military honors.
