ABOUT THE MISSION:

The family of Michael Edward LaVallee has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. Mr. LaVallee passed away on Sunday, July 16th, 2017.

Born in Schenectady, Michael attended Schalmont High School and graduated in 1973. In September of the same year, he joined the US Navy. He spent 4 years active duty and 18 years reserves retiring in December 1995. While on active duty, his MOS was IC-0000, Interior Communications Electrician Petty Officer 2nd Class (E-5). He was Honorably discharged from active duty in September of 1977, and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

After his discharge, Mike joined the local fire department known as RJVFD. He worked his way up the ranks, captain, assistant chief, chief and now commissioner. He lived and loved for his guys at the department. He was a standing member of the Rotterdam Elks for 40 years and the Guan Ho Ha Rod and Gun Club for over 25 years. He loved to fish, hunt and ride his big toy, the Harley Ultra Classic with his buds the Wild Hogs.

The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to have the opportunity to stand for and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Michael Edward LaVallee, proud US Navy Veteran, Firefighter and First Responder.

Staging at the funeral home with flag line for the arrival of the family. Visitation hours from 09:15 AM - 11:115 A.M., followed by a service at 11:15. Upon conclusion of the service, PGR will escort to Saratoga National Cemetery for a 1:30 P.M. interment service.
Flags & Water:
Flags Will NOT Be Provided, Please Bring Your Own.
If you have large bike flags, please bring them.
Water WILL NOT be provided, please bring your own.
