ABOUT THE MISSION:
Members of the American Legion Post #961 and the Town of Bolton, NY are hosting an appearance of “The Moving Wall”, a half-size replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington DC. “The Moving Wall” has been touring the country for over 30 years and has visited every state in the union, as well as Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam and Saipan. It has displayed over 1,300 times.
The Patriot Guard Riders, along with all riding and veteran organizations have been invited to escort “The Moving Wall” from the staging area to Veterans Memorial Park in Bolton Landing. The organizers have also requested as many volunteers as possible to help with the setup and breakdown of the Wall.
This is a three part mission:
September 21, 2017 - Escort, staging and assembly of the Wall.
September 22, 2017 - Flag line for opening ceremonies.
September 25, 2017 - Closing ceremonies, and breakdown of the Wall.

Special Instructions:
September 21, 2017 - Riders will escort the Wall from the parking area of the Sagamore to Veterans Memorial Park, a distance of approximately 1 mile. PGR members who are not riding are requested to stage in the Park and form a flag line along the roadway for the arrival of the Wall.
Organizers would greatly appreciate any volunteer help with the assembly of the Wall by all participating organizations.
