ABOUT THE MISSION:
The family of Mr. Maurice W. Goyette, a “Greatest Generation” hero, has requested Patriot Guard Rider presence at his military honors funeral services.
Narrative:
Mr. Maurice W. Goyette passed on Wednesday March 15, 2017. Maurice attended Scotia-Glenville High School, graduating in 1942. After graduation, he served his country during World War II in the United States Army Air Forces from 1942-1945. He was assigned to the 9th Air Force, 391st Bomb Group, and worked as an aircraft mechanic and gunner on the legendary Martin B-26 Marauder aircraft. Maurice was Honorably discharged in 1945 at the rank of Technical Sergeant.
Some PGR members may remember meeting Mr. Goyette last May as we were honored to escort him and his son from the Rotterdam PD to the Leatherstocking Honor Flight sendoff. The Patriot Guard Riders are proud to stand and render dignity, honor and respect for the life and service of Mr. Maurice W. Goyette.

- Staging at the funeral home at 10:30 AM, with dignified transfer at 11:00. Services at cemetery scheduled for 1:00 PM. There will be NO PGR escort or involvement in the funeral procession. Members are requested to make their way from the funeral home to the cemetery on their own.
