About the Mission:

The family of William C. Lehman has requested Patriot Guard Rider participation in his military honors funeral services. William, 70, of Round Lake, NY passed on June 21, 2022.

Born in Schenectady, Bill attended Scotia-Glenville schools until his enlistment in the U.S. Army on 18 March 1969 at the age of 17. He was trained as a Personnel Specialist (MOS 71H20), serving 2 years and 8 months, including a 13 month tour of duty in Pupyong, South Korea. He was honorably discharged on 29 November 1971, and for his service was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal and the Expert Marksmanship Badge - Rifle (M-14 and M-16).

Bill received further education as an electrician and held various positions with NY State, GE, the VA Hospital and for decades, at the Watervliet Arsenal. Up to retirement he served as Animal Control Officer for Round Lake and Clifton Park, where he made his home for the past four decades.

Based on the most current COVID-19 Prevention Guidelines: NYS Guidelines of 2 March 2022, and CDC Guidelines of 3 March 2022, going forward, the Lead Ride Captain for any mission will be responsible for determining whether PGR members will have to mask up or not. Please ensure that you have a mask with you, should the need arise, and respect the LRC’s decision in these matters.


Special Information:

Staging at the funeral home with a flag line for the last 30 minutes of Visitation. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 pm, followed by escort and interment with military honors at Park Cemetery, Sacandaga Road, Scotia, NY   Click here for map
